MBDC Malaysia Ballroom Dance Council
MBDC, the MALAYSIA BALLROOM DANCE COUNCIL (BADAN TARIAN BALLROOM MALAYSIA) is a fully authorized Council registered with the JABATAN PENDAFTARAN PERTUBAHAN MALAYSIA, WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN KUALA LUMPUR, KEMENTERIAN DALAM NEGERI MALAYSIA, under the Pendaftaran Di Bawah Akta Pertubahan 1966, the Malaysian Government and is the official Malaysia authority for Professional & Amateur Ballroom Dancing incorporated with a Malaysian Competitive Dance Committee and the Malaysian Social ...Dance Committee in Malaysia- including Sabah & Sarawak.
The MBDC – MALAYSIA BALLROOM DANCE COUNCIL deals with Professional & Amateur Ballroom Competitive Dancing, all Malaysia and National Ballroom Dance Associations, Dance Centers, Dance Academies, Dance Schools, Dance Teachers, Dance Coaches, Dance Trainers, Examining Members, Examining Bodies, Professional Ballroom Dance Competitors and Amateur Ballroom Dance Competitors representing Malaysia.
The MBDC Founding Members, with more than (7) Seven States in Malaysia have created what is to become the leading authority in all Ballroom Dance be it in Social, Art, Sports or Competitive form in all disciplines is to unite Dancing in Malaysia with transparent adjudication and the choice to practice the “Freedom to Dance”.
The aims of the MBDC Council are to encourage and promote Ballroom dancing through its members and seek Memberships with International & World Dance Bodies, Example; WDC, WDC-AL, ADC, APPDSC & all recognized Examination Bodies Example; NATD, ISTD, IDTA, UKA and others.
The members hold elections for the Presidium, (Council Members/Vice Presidents) every two (2) Years. New Council members are elected by the members at the annual meetings of the General Council.
