Before your first lesson, your instructor will discuss and choice of song with you, and you’ll get started learning your dance right away! Bring along some of your favorite options, and you can get a sample of the styles of dance that would be appropriate for each.
It's not necessary to wear your dancing or wedding shoes to your first dance lessons. Especially for the ladies, it's best to start off with shoes that you're very comfortable in.
Most couples take between 8 to 10 lessons to prepare for their wedding dance. It’s preferable to begin your lessons at least 1 to 2 months before the wedding. Give yourself plenty of time, so that you can relax and enjoy your lessons.
